Trading on the betting Exchanges such as
Betfair has become a very popular of way of
making money and it is one I certainly use, especially if I see a price move to
my advantage after I have made a lay bet. Trading on horses isn't for everyone
as you sometimes need fast reflexes and you need to be at your machine during
the day's meetings.
Trading on football, Tennis or golf is a little different
and you can pick and choose your match and generally because of the build up
and length of play, you have plenty of time to make decisions, cricket
especially as some matches go on for days.
Of course trading is not without its difficulties especially
when a trade doesn't quite work the way you want it to, so when I am reviewing
any product like this I am not only looking for good trading scenarios, but
also for information that will help you recover from trades that have gone
wrong.
I do not personally know
David Walton, but I was very interested to hear that he had
taught trading to his two children in an effort to prove the methods he teaches
with The Pro Exchange Trader Manual worked, with success I may
add.
David makes a very good job of introducing trading without
over complicating what can become a very complex subject, there are plenty of
screen shots introducing you the concept and the use of
Betfair.
There is also a section on "What you Need" most people will
have most of what is needed anyway, but there is sound advice on rest periods
and things like that. Although I don't totally agree with his feelings about
Bots (I use Bet-Pal all the
time when I am trading), but he is correct when he says they are not the
"Golden Egg" they are made out to be by some advertisers, but I would say that
they do have their place.
The first chapter in
The
Pro Exchange Trader Manual is trading on the horses which in it's self is
probably one of the simpler trading scenarios available to traders, but David
covers it in great detail showing screenshots of the scenario's he is trying to
explain, the maths is laid out well but any new comer will probably have to
read this section a few times, as they would with any publication, that covers
the subject.
David immediately takes you into what to do if things go
wrong. I did learn something here which was "Doubling up" I hadn't used this
technique before but will certainly consider using it in the future, it is only
for experienced traders.
There are a further 7 trading scenarios discussed and
although not in great detail, by this time you should have learned enough to
follow them quite easily.
David then moves on to soccer (not a favourite subject of
mine) and spends quite a bit of time on this subject not only to introduce the
different trading scenarios he recommends, but to give you plenty of background
to make your trading successful (it must be a favourite subject of his!).
David goes on to give information on Golf, Cricket and
various other ideas, including what he calls "Ramping" which I will not discuss
here except to say that it is very interesting idea indeed!
Overall
The
Pro Exchange Trader Manual is a well written guide that will teach you to
trade on the exchanges with plenty of scenarios for you to learn.
Is it worth the money, well the problem with trading guides
they are all expensive and many sell for £100's and although you are not
getting cd's and bound packages with
The
Pro Exchange Trader Manual, you are getting all the information you need
and if used properly it will make you money.
